Software Team Leader (Python, AI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization that protects critical infrastructure globally. Our talent team is seeking a Software Team Leader with strong Python expertise and proficiency in AI development tools to lead the development of a secure remote access platform. This role is based in Poland and offers the opportunity to solve complex networking and security challenges at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing development team, fostering technical ownership, security-first thinking, and continuous delivery practices
• Drive the design and implementation of secure access features that bridge IT and operational technology networks
• Oversee development of scalable gateway and proxy architectures supporting global enterprise deployments
• Collaborate with product and security research teams to implement Zero Trust principles and advanced session monitoring
• Champion best practices in code quality, security protocols, and system resilience across your team
• Invest in team members' professional growth and technical development

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years leading R&D teams in fast-paced environments
• 5+ years backend development experience with proven ability to build complex systems in Python
• Deep understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSH, and RDP
• Strong grasp of security concepts: Zero Trust architecture, Identity Management, and encryption
• Experience building distributed, high-availability systems handling real-time traffic
• Proficiency using AI development tools, specifically Cursor and Claude, to accelerate development workflows, code generation, and problem-solving

Preferred:

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience with cloud-native technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
• Background in cybersecurity, particularly remote access solutions (VPN/ZTNA) or identity and access management
