About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clean energy technology client in their search for an International Expansion leader. Our client operates software that optimizes energy usage across hundreds of thousands of connected assets, and they're now ready to scale their platform globally. This is a rare opportunity to define and execute market entry strategies from the ground up, working at the intersection of energy markets, regulation, and commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute international expansion plans, identifying priority markets and optimal entry strategies
• Assess business models across global power markets, evaluating regulatory requirements, revenue potential per asset, and market access pathways
• Conduct rapid market validation through direct engagement with grid operators, utilities, potential partners, and prospects
• Launch operations in new geographies by scoping pilots, securing partnerships, and building foundational relationships
• Synthesize highly technical regulatory and technical information into actionable commercial strategies
• Move at startup speed to test hypotheses, iterate on market approach, and accelerate time-to-market

What We're Looking For

• A "full-stack operator" capable of processing complex technical information while identifying commercial opportunities
• Experience navigating regulated markets, energy systems, or infrastructure sectors preferred
• Strong analytical skills with comfort building financial models and business cases
• Exceptional commercial instincts and relationship-building capabilities
• Willingness to travel internationally and work hands-on in new markets
• Self-directed problem solver who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Passion for climate technology and the energy transition
