Kundenservice schriftlich (m/w/d), deutschsprachig, 100% Remote, Freelance

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in the fitness equipment sector. This is a 100% remote, freelance customer service role focused on written communication in German. You will:

• Respond to customer inquiries via email and marketplace messaging channels with clarity and professionalism
• Manage marketplace customer service workflows including buyer-seller messages, claims resolution, and return coordination
• Handle inbound phone calls to assist customers with product questions and support issues (no sales or cold calling)
• Coordinate with logistics and returns teams to ensure smooth resolution of customer cases
• Maintain accurate documentation in the ticketing system for all customer interactions
• Contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve the customer service experience

What We're Looking For

Our client serves a primarily senior customer base who value authentic, native-level German communication. This role requires:

• Native German speaker with flawless written and spoken command of the language
• Proven experience in written customer service with strong grammar and composition skills
• Hands-on experience with marketplace customer service tools including Seller Central, buyer messaging systems, A-to-Z claims, and returns processing
• Phone support experience with the ability to remain patient and friendly under pressure
• Demonstrated success working remotely with strong self-management and proactive communication
• Own equipment: laptop, USB headset, stable internet connection, and quiet space for calls
• Flexibility to work 40 hours per week October through March, and 20-40 hours per week during summer months by arrangement
• Problem-solving mindset and genuine interest in helping customers succeed
• Basic technical aptitude (familiarity with fitness equipment is a plus)
