About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization with deep expertise in geospatial intelligence and infrastructure projects. Our client works with large-scale spatial and 3D datasets across utility and infrastructure sectors globally.
We're seeking a Middle LiDAR Processing Specialist to support projects involving aerial LiDAR data processing and analysis for utility and power infrastructure applications. This role centers on processing, classifying, and validating LiDAR point cloud data, with a focus on extracting and modeling utility assets including power lines, conductors, poles, towers, vegetation, and ground features.

Responsibilities
- Process and classify aerial LiDAR and point cloud datasets for utility infrastructure projects
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on point cloud data
- Extract features from LiDAR data, including utility assets and terrain elements
- Model utility infrastructure components such as power lines, conductors, poles, and towers
- Validate data accuracy and identify quality issues across spatial datasets
- Work with 3D spatial data in support of power transmission and distribution analysis
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 1–4 years of professional experience with LiDAR or point cloud processing
- Hands-on experience with point cloud classification and QA/QC workflows
- Demonstrated experience working with 3D spatial data
- Experience with feature extraction from LiDAR datasets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data-quality issues
- Basic to intermediate GIS knowledge
Preferred:
- Experience with utility, power transmission, or distribution data
- Background working with aerial LiDAR datasets
- Familiarity with conductors, poles, towers, vegetation, and ground classification
- Understanding of conductor/catenary modeling and clearance analysis
- Experience with PLS-CADD, TerraSolid/TerraScan, or MicroStation
- Background in utility asset modeling or powerline mapping
