About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization in the Ansbach area seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while contributing to the digital transformation of HR processes. Our client values precision, compliance, and continuous improvement in their payroll function.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage monthly payroll processing for a defined employee population
• Maintain and administer employee master data and all payroll-relevant information
• Serve as primary contact for employees, managers, and external parties (authorities, health insurance providers, other agencies) on all payroll matters
• Ensure full compliance with tax law, social security regulations, and labor law requirements
• Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and statistics for HR leadership and management
• Support year-end payroll activities including tax certificates, social security filings, and annual declarations
• Participate in projects focused on advancing and digitizing payroll processes
• Collaborate closely with HR administration, finance teams, and external service providers

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent, ideally with additional qualification in HR or payroll
• Several years of payroll experience in an industrial or shift-work environment, ideally at senior level or comparable role
• Strong working knowledge of German tax law, social security regulations, and employment law
• Experience with common payroll systems such as SAP HCM, DATEV, LOGA, UKG, or similar platforms
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
• High attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and discretion
• Independent, reliable, and structured working style
• Service-oriented mindset with strong teamwork skills
• Good English language skills
