AI Specialist (Applied AI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional services organization with a strong presence across multiple markets. Our talent team is seeking an AI Specialist (Applied AI) based in India to join their growing technology practice. This is a client-facing role where you'll design and deliver production-grade AI solutions that solve real business problems—not build demos.

You'll work US business hours from India, partnering directly with clients and internal development teams to take AI solutions from discovery through production deployment. This role focuses on LLM-powered workflows, retrieval systems, and agentic automation integrated into the systems businesses actually use.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, and deliver applied AI solutions including LLM workflows, RAG systems, agentic automation, and model evaluation frameworks integrated into client business systems
• Work directly with clients through discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and delivery—translating business problems into AI solutions that perform reliably in production
• Define patterns and technical specifications for development teams to build against; review and guide production builds
• Establish evaluation criteria and measure solution quality, accuracy, and return on investment
• Advise clients on AI readiness, data requirements, and responsible deployment practices
• Contribute to reusable AI accelerators and market-ready offerings

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or applied AI engineering, including hands-on work with LLMs in production or near-production settings
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern AI tooling
• Practical experience with RAG, embeddings/vector stores, and at least one major LLM provider or framework
• Client-facing skills—ability to lead working sessions, explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and manage project scope
• Fluent English with consistent availability during US business hours
• Pragmatic, outcomes-first approach focused on client value rather than novelty

Preferred:

• Consulting or professional services background
• Exposure to ERP/CRM platforms or finance/operations data environments
• Experience implementing evaluation, observability, or guardrail frameworks
• Cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP) and MLOps experience
