Co-Founder & CEO – AI E-commerce Operations System

The Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential venture studio in their search for a Co-Founder & CEO to lead the development of an AI-native operating system designed for multi-channel ecommerce sellers. This is a co-founder partnership with meaningful founder equity, not a traditional salaried executive role.

The ecommerce landscape is fragmented. Sellers operating across multiple platforms manage disconnected dashboards, reconcile conflicting data streams, and make hundreds of daily operational decisions spanning pricing, inventory, advertising, fulfillment, and customer support. This venture addresses that complexity within a global ecommerce market exceeding $1 trillion in annual GMV.

The solution replaces fragmented workflows with an autonomous, multi-agent AI system that continuously understands business context, reasons across every sales channel, and proactively executes operational decisions. Rather than adding another dashboard, the platform optimizes pricing, inventory, advertising, demand forecasting, and customer coordination as an integrated workforce.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the venture, including ICP definition, pricing model, and product positioning
• Lead customer development initiatives with ecommerce sellers, converting pilot programs to paid engagements and building the go-to-market motion
• Partner with the studio's product and engineering resources to ship V1 and iterate based on user feedback
• Lead seed fundraising efforts, supported by the studio's network and early traction
• Recruit and lead the founding team while establishing the company's cultural foundation

What We're Looking For

• Previous founding experience at a venture-backed company
• Demonstrated success in B2B SaaS go-to-market, including sales and customer engagement
• Fundraising fluency with the ability to develop investor narratives and close capital
• Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent
• Clear understanding of the risks and demands of co-founding a venture-backed company
• Direct experience in ecommerce—having operated a multi-channel business, sold software into this market, or built tools for ecommerce sellers at scale
• Existing network within the ecommerce seller community (marketplace operators, platform sellers, logistics partners)

The Partnership Structure

This role offers founder equity with meaningful ownership from inception. The studio has committed pre-seed capital for early hires and MVP development, with potential for follow-on funding. You'll receive embedded support across design, engineering, growth, and fundraising from day one, plus access to an investor and advisor network spanning logistics, vertical AI, and early-stage capital markets.
