Aero Software Developer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential motorsport engineering organization seeking an experienced Aero Software Developer. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to develop and improve software for efficient aerodynamic analysis
• Design and implement desktop and web applications to present data from multiple sources, with particular focus on CFD data
• Contribute to redesign and optimization of backend systems used to process and serve CFD data
• Design and implement efficient workflows for CFD post-processing
• Work closely with aerodynamic engineers to improve comprehension of complex datasets
• Help establish future directions and trends in data analysis and visualization
• Develop the look and feel of user interfaces for presentation and interaction with engineering data
• Design and produce high-performance data access tools and APIs for integration with existing systems
• Handle design, coding, testing, release, and maintenance of data analysis applications
• Stay current with latest advancements in software design and data science

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a software developer
• Experience with data organization and repository creation using appropriate database and file technologies
• Proven track record working on complex projects
• Strong programming skills with demonstrated proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Knowledge of software release, update, and deployment techniques
• Strong knowledge of PyQt technology and deployment to Windows/Linux OS
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (Django is an advantage)
• Familiarity with VTK, ParaView, and/or PyVista
• Knowledge of containerized development and deployment
• Fluent in English
• Experience with scientific data visualization, especially 3D data (preferred)
• Knowledge of containerized deployment on Kubernetes (preferred)
• Familiarity with HPC environments (preferred)
• Understanding of data science techniques and methodologies (preferred)
