Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential hospitality technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Payments team on a fully remote basis.

Our client powers accommodation providers globally, processing billions in transactions annually through their unified platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll build the financial systems that keep money moving securely and efficiently for thousands of properties worldwide. You'll work on complex payment integrations, design for compliance and security, and deliver scalable solutions that support key aspects of daily business operations for hospitality providers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure payment systems that process high-volume transactions globally
• Integrate with complex partner APIs and design resilient, secure interfaces for payment processing
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on system quality, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product experiences for end users
• Take ownership of the quality and reliability of your contributions, working closely with peers to operate systems together
• Contribute to architectural decisions that impact scalability, costs, and long-term flexibility
• Leverage observability through metrics, experiments, and prototypes to ensure data-driven decisions
• Participate in problem-solving under pressure, communicating clearly to contribute to quick resolutions

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience
• 2+ years working with MySQL or PostgreSQL (tuning and optimization skills preferred)
• 1+ years designing and developing event-driven microservices in PHP or Java
• Experience with modern infrastructure tooling such as DataDog, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, or ArgoCD
• Strong business sense and ability to collaborate with leadership and non-technical stakeholders on highly visible projects
• Deep knowledge of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and automated testing
• Currently authorized to work in the position location without requiring visa sponsorship

Valued Skills:

• Understanding of secure software engineering in regulated environments; familiarity with PCI-DSS or similar compliance frameworks
• Experience engineering large-scale solutions with Domain Driven Design approaches
• Background in the payments domain or travel industry
