About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare IT organization seeking a Working Student in Software Development with a focus on Security. This remote-friendly role allows you to work from various German cities or from home while gaining hands-on experience in IT security within a clinical software environment.

You'll collaborate with experienced colleagues across development teams, supporting security-relevant initiatives for hospital information systems. This position offers meaningful exposure to secure software development practices in a flat hierarchy where you can work independently while being mentored by seasoned professionals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders on security-related questions
• Support security checks and identification of potential vulnerabilities across different software modules
• Participate in threat modeling and security analyses for various software components
• Assist in establishing unified security standards and best practices in software development
• Help raise team awareness around authentication, encryption, and secure software architecture

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in IT (Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, IT Security, Cyber Security, or related field)
• Initial experience in software development with C# /.NET, and ideally TypeScript / Vue.js, gained through student work or personal projects
• Strong interest in or existing knowledge of IT security topics (Secure Software Development, Secure Coding, OWASP Top 10, cryptography)
• Ideally familiar with SQL databases (T-SQL)
• Team player with strong communication skills and an active, collaborative approach
• Structured working style, reliability, and high quality consciousness
• Very good German language skills, written and spoken (C1 level)
