DevOps Engineer – Contract

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology client seeking a DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract engagement based in India (Remote). Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is partnering with this organization to find an experienced platform engineer who can architect and evolve critical monitoring and observability infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously evolve platform architecture and services using modern technologies to provide comprehensive observability and data quality capabilities
• Maintain and enhance system reliability, availability, and performance by integrating Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles into platform design and operations
• Develop intelligent systems for proactive issue detection, diagnosis, and automated resolution across operational and data infrastructure
• Build and integrate data quality measurement, monitoring, and reporting capabilities across multiple pipelines and data sources
• Develop and manage unified dashboards to visualize key performance indicators, system health, operational metrics, and data quality insights for stakeholders
• Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and extensive scripting for provisioning, deployment, and operational workflows
• Integrate and optimize cloud technologies within the Azure environment, ensuring seamless operation and data flow
• Embed FinOps practices and reporting to monitor cloud resource utilization and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Analyze operational incidents, performance trends, and data quality issues to drive continuous platform improvements
• Ensure the platform provides accurate, timely insights to support business decisions while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Shell scripting
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and observability/monitoring solutions
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Experience with Kafka, Azure SQL Server, Databricks, Flink, and Fivetran
• Proven experience with infrastructure automation, system monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management
