About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential cybersecurity technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Tools & Automation team. This position offers the opportunity to build and maintain critical infrastructure supporting advanced technical operations in a highly collaborative environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to develop innovative solutions, maintain release quality, and drive continuous improvements across development and infrastructure systems.
Location: Bochum, Germany or Remote (Europe)

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of tools, projects, and product components within the automation ecosystem
- Develop new tools while gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify specifications
- Administer machines and ensure steady availability of services, including Amazon AWS-hosted components
- Support the stability and quality of software releases through automation and infrastructure improvements
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of development and deployment pipelines
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Python development experience
- Strong experience with common Python frameworks such as Pika, Boto3, SQLAlchemy, Django, or FastAPI
- Knowledge of code quality standards including PEP8 and linters
- Solid understanding of test-driven development using Pytest
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and building server applications (microservices)
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
- Practical experience with Amazon AWS components and their administration, plus Kubernetes
- Experience with RabbitMQ is beneficial
- Fast learner with excellent team collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
