About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Tools & Automation team. This position offers the opportunity to build and maintain critical infrastructure supporting advanced technical operations in a highly collaborative environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to develop innovative solutions, maintain release quality, and drive continuous improvements across development and infrastructure systems.

Location: Bochum, Germany or Remote (Europe)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of tools, projects, and product components within the automation ecosystem
  • Develop new tools while gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify specifications
  • Administer machines and ensure steady availability of services, including Amazon AWS-hosted components
  • Support the stability and quality of software releases through automation and infrastructure improvements
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of development and deployment pipelines

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Python development experience
  • Strong experience with common Python frameworks such as Pika, Boto3, SQLAlchemy, Django, or FastAPI
  • Knowledge of code quality standards including PEP8 and linters
  • Solid understanding of test-driven development using Pytest
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and building server applications (microservices)
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Practical experience with Amazon AWS components and their administration, plus Kubernetes
  • Experience with RabbitMQ is beneficial
  • Fast learner with excellent team collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
