About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential insurance organization seeking a Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal for their Nevada offices in Las Vegas or Reno. This is a full-time, salaried position offering the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters with minimal supervision while supporting experienced attorneys through all phases of the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Draft and manage complex pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, deposition summaries, abstracts, legal memoranda, and legal correspondence under attorney supervision
- Analyze, organize, and summarize extensive medical records and case-related documentation to support discovery, case strategy, settlement evaluation, and trial preparation
- Independently coordinate and execute all phases of discovery and case investigation, including identifying key issues, developing discovery plans, and managing case deadlines
- Conduct interviews and communicate with insureds, company representatives, expert witnesses, fact witnesses, and opposing counsel
- Prepare comprehensive witness materials, discovery responses, demonstrative exhibits, and trial support documents
- Support trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings, including preparing exhibits, witness binders, chronologies, and case summaries
- Maintain and oversee complex litigation files and electronic case records, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with court deadlines
- Evaluate case files to identify legal and factual issues, assess settlement potential, and recommend additional investigation or records needed
- Obtain, review, and analyze medical, employment, financial, and other relevant records; prepare detailed statements of facts, case summaries, hearing outlines, and trial contentions
What We're Looking For
Required Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience performing legal research, conducting investigations, gathering and summarizing medical records, indexing depositions, and preparing exhibits for trial
- Proven experience preparing pleadings, motions, deposition summaries, discovery responses, and other legal correspondence
- Proficiency with various PC software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and internet browsers
- Experience working with confidential documents and situations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of legal ethics rules and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Solid knowledge of tort and contract law, legal procedures, legal terminology, and the judicial system
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling litigation matters in Clark County courts and familiarity with local Nevada procedures and practices
- Working knowledge of Nevada civil procedure, discovery, and trial preparation
- Proficiency with LegalFiles or similar case management systems
- Experience identifying, retaining, and managing expert witnesses across multiple disciplines
- Strong background in managing expert and discovery disclosures, including timely production of records and case materials
- Proven ability to conduct complex investigations independently with minimal supervision
- Experience mentoring, training, or serving as a resource to other legal professionals

- Travel up to 10%

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai: $69,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience and geographic location within Nevada. This is a salaried position with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer contribution, pension plan, annual incentive, 9 paid holidays, and paid time off (23 days accrued annually for full-time employees).
