Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior or Lead Cost Engineer to join our Dubai office, supporting major energy and natural resources projects across the Middle East region. This is a full-time position based in Dubai.

Role Overview

This senior-level cost engineering role sits at the heart of complex project delivery within the energy and natural resources sector. You'll provide strategic cost planning, estimation, and control across capital-intensive infrastructure and development programmes, ensuring projects remain aligned with financial objectives whilst navigating the dynamic Dubai and Middle East marketplace.

What You'll Do

  • Lead cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting on major energy and natural resources projects
  • Develop and maintain project cost baselines and financial control systems
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide commercial recommendations to senior leadership and clients
  • Mentor junior cost engineers and support team capability development
  • Manage cost reports, variance analysis, and earned value management across multiple programmes
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to drive cost efficiency
  • Engage with stakeholders across the Middle East region on cost-related project matters

Who We're Looking For

  • Substantial experience as a cost engineer or in a similar cost planning and control role within energy, oil & gas, or natural resources
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities at senior level
  • Advanced knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and cost management software
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional qualification such as AACE, RICS, or equivalent recognised credential preferred
  • Experience working on projects in the Middle East or GCC region valued
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
