Role Overview
As a Deli Production Team Member at Pilot Company's Summerville travel center, you'll be part of the retail operations team responsible for preparing and delivering quality food products. Working in our on-site deli, you'll support our customer service mission by maintaining high production standards in a busy food service environment. This is a full-time position for someone who takes pride in food quality and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, assemble, and portion deli items according to company recipes and food safety standards
- Operate deli equipment including slicers, warmers, and packaging machinery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli production area throughout your shift
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols consistently
- Coordinate with team members to meet customer demand and production schedules
- Monitor inventory of deli ingredients and communicate restocking needs
- Support a customer-first mindset through quality food preparation and attention to detail
Who We're Looking For
- Prior experience in food production, deli operations, or a similar food service role
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality standards
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Reliability and willingness to follow procedures and feedback
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
