Responsibilities
We are representing a fast-growing SaaS company in their search for a Mid-Market Account Executive based in Birmingham. This is a full-cycle sales role where you will own your territory from prospecting through to close.
In this position, you will:
- Identify and pursue mid-market accounts across your assigned UK and Ireland territory
- Conduct outbound prospecting and cold calling as a core ongoing activity
- Run discovery calls that uncover genuine business impact and commercial drivers
- Deliver product demonstrations to operations directors, finance leaders, and business owners
- Build relationships across multiple stakeholders within target accounts
- Develop commercial cases, negotiate terms, and close new business ARR
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene in HubSpot
- Carry and achieve a monthly new-business ARR quota
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate brings:
- 12–36 months of proven success in an SDR or BDR role, with documented achievement against targets
- A track record of self-sourcing opportunities and converting them to pipeline
- Genuine enthusiasm for cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Strong discovery and qualification skills, with curiosity about how businesses generate revenue
- Self-motivation and a competitive drive focused on personal performance, not just team metrics
- Openness to coaching and a commitment to rapid implementation of feedback
- Comfort with full-cycle ownership—you want to prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close your own deals
- A desire to be measured on ARR outcomes rather than activity metrics alone
Our client will provide a structured 90-day onboarding programme covering discovery, demonstration technique, commercial structuring, and closing methodology. You will receive ongoing coaching in MEDDPICC qualification, plus weekly call reviews and deal clinics. You will also be given live opportunities at the outset to accelerate your learning while you build your own pipeline engine.
