About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential hospitality technology organization expanding into mid-market and enterprise accounts across the UK. This Solutions Engineer role is based in London (hybrid) with occasional travel to customer sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support sales teams in presenting platform capabilities to prospects, demonstrating value to each buying persona
- Develop deep expertise in cloud-based point-of-sale products, application software, integrated partners, and product roadmap
- Collaborate with sales enablement teams regionally to deliver training and share product knowledge
- Communicate product-market fit gaps to internal product teams to inform strategic development
- Represent our client as a brand ambassador at trade shows and industry events
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure sales expectations align with delivery outcomes
- Apply restaurant industry expertise to consult with prospects on operational improvements
What We're Looking For
Essential qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience in a closing or closing-support role within the restaurant or hospitality sector
- Executive presence with strong presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technical products clearly
- Solid understanding of APIs (coding skills not required)
- Experience with cloud POS systems, ideally in restaurant, hospitality, or related industries
- Familiarity with multi-location brands, enterprise or franchise IT systems, or complex organizational structures is highly desirable
- Strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work effectively with sales, onboarding, and product teams
- Willingness to perform nationwide travel to support business needs
Preferred qualifications:
- Direct hospitality experience providing firsthand understanding of customer operational challenges
- Prior experience with point-of-sale platforms in sales, implementation, training, or support capacities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as the first team member in the UK region
