Senior Trade Marketing Lead

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consumer goods organization seeking a Senior Trade Marketing Lead to oversee trade marketing operations across the DACH region. This role is based in Frankfurt am Main with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape go-to-market strategy and deliver compelling retail experiences across all channels. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team of Trade Marketing Managers in close collaboration with Sales to execute joint business plans that drive revenue and market share
• Building and executing comprehensive Trade Marketing plans tailored to the DACH market, aligned with broader European strategies
• Owning and driving Joint Business Plans with key retail partners throughout the region
• Planning and implementing product launch strategies, in-store activations, and online campaigns
• Developing creative, localized campaigns to increase product awareness and drive conversions both in-store and online
• Identifying, planning, and executing participation in relevant trade shows and retailer events supporting revenue objectives
• Evaluating and optimizing point-of-sale tools while monitoring key success metrics including NPS and distribution-at-shelf
• Leading digital retail strategy and execution of brand shops and merchandising across e-retailer platforms
• Ensuring accurate and timely product data delivery to retail partners for listings and online experiences
• Managing retailer cooperative budgets to maximize ROI on trade marketing initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 10 years in Trade Marketing, ideally within consumer goods or retail, including proven experience leading and building teams
• Track record of managing, mentoring, and motivating teams toward shared goals
• Fluency in both German and English with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with an agile mindset and ability to pivot quickly
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams
• Passion for finding creative approaches to drive consumer engagement and sales
• Proactive, entrepreneurial spirit with high levels of ownership and accountability
