Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to join their operations in München. In this role, you will take ownership of procurement for technical components and services across domestic and international projects.

  • Lead procurement of components and services for utility-scale infrastructure projects
  • Conduct independent contract and price negotiations with suppliers, ensuring competitive terms
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, preparing decision documents for award processes
  • Build and maintain a reliable supplier network while developing long-term strategic partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with quality and sustainability requirements throughout procurement processes
  • Coordinate closely with project management and cross-functional teams to guarantee timely component availability
  • Monitor market developments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess supply chain risks

What We're Looking For

  • Completed business degree or comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven track record in procurement of technical components, ideally within energy systems or comparable technical installations
  • Proficiency with MS Office and experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken, with confidence communicating with international business partners
  • Independent and structured working style with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong team collaboration skills with clear, professional communication across internal departments and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and maintain overview across diverse requirements
