What This Role Involves

As a Mobile Crisis Case Manager with Hrhs, you deliver rapid-response mental health services to individuals and families in crisis. Your work combines field-based clinical assessment with care coordination, ensuring people receive appropriate intervention and connection to ongoing treatment during their time of greatest need.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Respond to mobile crisis calls and conduct mental health assessments at client locations throughout Horizons Reno County
  • Apply de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to stabilize individuals experiencing acute psychiatric distress
  • Evaluate safety concerns and hospitalization needs; coordinate with emergency services when necessary
  • Connect clients with outpatient treatment, community resources, and ongoing case management support
  • Document assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with first responders, healthcare providers, and community partners to enhance crisis response effectiveness
  • Provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care to diverse populations, including those experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • Mental health certification (such as QMHP or MHTP) or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to transportation for mobile service delivery in Reno County
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to remain composed during high-stress situations
  • Prior experience in crisis intervention, emergency services, or mental health support preferred
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and on-call crisis response schedules
