Safety Manager | Chehalis, WA

HazTek Inc. is hiring a Safety Manager for its Tumwater, Thurston County office to lead safety operations across commercial construction projects in the Chehalis, WA area. In this full-time role, you'll direct safety programs and ensure team members work safely every day.

About This Position

Safety is the foundation of every successful construction project. HazTek Inc. is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee safety operations and foster a workplace where hazard prevention and regulatory compliance are built into everything we do. You'll work with project teams across our commercial construction operations to protect our workforce and maintain the highest safety standards in the Thurston County region.

What You'll Do

• Design and enforce safety policies, procedures, and protocols across construction projects
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments on active job sites
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for team members at all levels
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses to prevent future occurrences
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, state safety laws, and industry standards
• Create and manage safety documentation, records, and reporting systems
• Partner with project managers and crews to integrate safety into daily operations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Safety Manager or in a comparable safety leadership role, preferably in construction
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, construction safety regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to promote safety culture across teams
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement preventative measures
• Current certifications such as CSP, CIH, or OSHA 30 are a plus
• Problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
