What This Role Involves
As a CDL-A dry van owner-operator, you'll run your own freight business using your semi truck, operating routes across Michigan and regionally. This is a commission-based partnership—you keep the majority of what you earn while we provide consistent access to freight loads, dispatch support, and the infrastructure to grow your independent operation.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate your own semi truck safely and legally to transport dry van freight on assigned routes
- Maintain DOT compliance, vehicle inspections, logbooks, and required documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch, pick up and deliver freight on schedule, and communicate with customers
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep your truck road-ready
- Follow all federal and state regulations, along with company safety standards
Who We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
- Ownership of your own semi truck in dry van configuration
- Prior over-the-road or regional trucking experience
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional communication
- Ability to manage your business independently and professionally
