Finisher/Carpenter

HRI is hiring a Full-Time Finisher/Carpenter to join our team in State College, Centre County. In this hands-on role, you'll shape and finish concrete surfaces that become the foundation of our community's infrastructure—from sidewalks and curbs to roads and parking areas.

About the Role

As a Finisher/Carpenter, you'll combine technical skill with precision craftsmanship to transform poured concrete into smooth, finished surfaces. This hourly position reports to direct and indirect supervision and offers steady, full-time work.

What You'll Do

• Build and align wooden forms for sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other concrete applications
• Smooth and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, including floors, walkways, roads, and curbs
• Cut and set expansion joints to specification
• Patch and repair voids and surface imperfections in concrete
• Follow project requirements and blueprints to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain tools and work areas to safety and company standards

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with concrete finishing, form building, or related carpentry work
• Proficiency with both hand tools and power equipment used in concrete finishing
• Physical capability to perform labor-intensive work and stand for extended periods
• Attention to detail and pride in producing quality finishes
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to follow safety protocols and collaborate effectively with team members
