Adventure Ted Communications Internship

Role Overview

This full-time internship offers you the chance to develop real-world communications skills while working for a mission-driven national nonprofit. You'll work directly with our team to promote our fundraising initiatives, wish-grant programs, and the heartwarming story of Adventure Ted as he connects supporters with families in need. This role combines traditional marketing with digital engagement to reach supporters and donors across the country.

Your Responsibilities

• Create and manage social media content across multiple platforms, including posts, stories, and community engagement
• Develop promotional materials for fundraising events and wish-grant experiences
• Contribute to newsletter and email campaign development to keep donors and supporters informed
• Assist in drafting press releases, blog posts, and donor communications
• Support event marketing and outreach efforts for local and national programs
• Help craft Adventure Ted's messaging and presence across communications channels
• Monitor and report on campaign performance and audience engagement metrics

Who We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience or enthusiasm with social media platforms and digital marketing
• Basic design or content creation skills (Canva, Adobe basics, or similar tools a plus)
• Passion for nonprofit work and supporting families affected by pediatric cancer
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
