What This Role Involves

As Research Scientist-3, you'll serve as a scientific leader within our laboratory, guiding research design, execution, and analysis. Your responsibilities include managing daily lab operations, mentoring research staff and graduate students, and upholding rigorous scientific standards. You'll work collaboratively with faculty and contribute directly to the lab's mission of understanding and enhancing cognitive function through evidence-based interventions and training approaches.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and oversee research studies examining learning, cognition, and neuroplasticity
  • Lead participant recruitment and testing across diverse populations, including children, older adults, and neurodivergent individuals
  • Manage data collection, analysis, and quality assurance for multiple ongoing projects
  • Supervise and train research staff and students on experimental protocols and procedures
  • Contribute to manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and grant development
  • Coordinate laboratory resources, equipment, and administrative operations

What We're Looking For

  • Ph.D. in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, or closely related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral or research scientist experience
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing complex empirical research studies
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and relevant software (R, SPSS, or similar platforms)
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to mentor junior researchers
  • Expertise in cognitive training, learning science, or neuroscience research
  • Commitment to ethical research practices and inclusive science with diverse participant groups
