About This Position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist seeking travel assignment work in the St. Louis area. The role begins July 27, 2026, and runs for 13 weeks on a full-time basis. You'll earn between $1,420 and $1,620 per week, with the flexibility and variety that comes with travel healthcare placements. Healthcare facilities throughout St. Louis, MO, rely on travel respiratory therapists to maintain continuity of care and support their clinical teams during periods of staffing need.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status using clinical observation and diagnostic equipment
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on patient treatment plans and modifications
- Document patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and clinical observations in electronic health records
- Perform patient education on breathing techniques, equipment use, and disease management
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide life support interventions as needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure or certification in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- Prior travel assignment or contract work experience preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
- Adaptability and strong communication skills essential for travel assignments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
