Dir, HR Business Partner I Exempt

AdventHealth seeks a Director, HR Business Partner I (Exempt) in Lake Helen, Volusia County, to lead strategic HR initiatives and drive organizational excellence. What This Role Involves

As Director of HR Business Partnership, you'll serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and department heads across AdventHealth's Lake Helen campus. You'll translate business objectives into workforce strategies that strengthen our ability to fulfill our mission of extending healing in mind, body, and spirit. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations, employment law compliance, and organizational development, combined with the ability to navigate complex people challenges and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

Core Duties

• Partner with business leaders to assess talent needs, optimize organizational structures, and drive strategic workforce planning
• Oversee employee relations, performance management, and talent development initiatives to build a high-performing culture
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Develop and implement HR programs in recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and organizational development
• Manage staffing challenges, succession planning, and retention strategies aligned with business goals
• Lead cross-functional projects and represent HR in strategic business decisions
• Provide coaching and HR guidance to managers on employee relations matters and policy interpretation

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Minimum 8+ years of HR leadership experience, including strategic HR business partnership
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare industry practices
• Proven ability to partner effectively with C-suite and department leadership
• Experience designing and implementing talent management, performance, and organizational development programs
• Excellent communication, change management, and conflict resolution skills
• Advanced proficiency with HRIS systems and HR analytics
• Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is preferred
