Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Permitting Project Manager to direct environmental permitting strategy and execution for infrastructure, energy, and development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. You'll work at the intersection of project delivery and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all environmental permits—federal, state, and local—are obtained efficiently and accurately to keep projects moving forward on schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Lead permitting workflows and manage timelines for development and construction projects across multiple Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental permitting requirements specific to project type and location
  • Prepare comprehensive permit applications, environmental assessments, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and third-party consultants to obtain necessary approvals
  • Communicate project status and permitting milestones to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Track regulatory changes and ensure ongoing project compliance with evolving environmental standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for permitting matters throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Proven project management experience in environmental permitting or regulatory compliance roles
  • Deep familiarity with federal, state, and local permitting processes in the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards applicable to infrastructure and construction
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—for internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously
