What This Role Involves
As a Provider Clinical Operations Consultant, Senior Manager, you will partner directly with leadership teams at health systems and medical providers to diagnose operational challenges and implement solutions that enhance clinical delivery and business performance. This position requires up to 80% travel as you work with clients across the health services sector. You'll combine analytical depth with operational expertise to address workflow optimization, supply chain management, workforce planning, care delivery redesign, and financial performance improvement.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end engagements with healthcare providers to assess clinical operations, identify improvement opportunities, and develop strategic implementation roadmaps
- Direct multidisciplinary teams in designing and executing operational solutions that drive quality, safety, cost outcomes, and provider sustainability
- Mentor and supervise junior consulting staff while ensuring quality and timeliness of client deliverables
- Present strategic findings and recommendations to C-suite executives and board leadership
- Build thought leadership on health services industry trends and operational best practices
- Manage key client relationships and identify new business development opportunities
Skills & Qualifications
- 15+ years of healthcare operations, management consulting, provider management, or related health services experience
- Proven success managing large, multifaceted consulting engagements and complex client relationships
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities with strong quantitative and data interpretation skills
- Deep understanding of provider clinical operations, healthcare finance, reimbursement models, and provider business strategy
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for senior healthcare audiences
- Master's degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health, or related discipline preferred
