Sr Manager, Accounting

McKesson is hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting for our team in The Woodlands, Montgomery County. This is a full-time opportunity to lead critical accounting operations within one of the nation's largest healthcare companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and regulatory compliance within the accounting function
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize financial processes and support business initiatives
• Analyze accounting metrics and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Mentor accounting professionals and contribute to their professional development and career growth

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise financial systems
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a changing business landscape
