Role Overview
As an Associate Transactional Attorney at Schneider Buchel LLP, you'll manage complex transactions, contracts, and legal matters across our core practice areas. This role combines substantive legal work with hands-on client advisory responsibility, offering meaningful exposure to employment law, construction matters, real estate contracting, and discrimination issues that directly impact our community association clients throughout the region. You'll work closely with partners and senior associates while building your transactional law expertise in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts related to construction, real estate transactions, and employment agreements
- Provide employment and labor law compliance guidance to community association clients
- Research legal issues, analyze statutes and case law, and prepare memoranda and briefs on transactional topics
- Manage discrimination law matters from client intake through resolution and settlement
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, clients, and third parties throughout transaction lifecycles
- Contribute to business development, practice growth, and strengthening client relationships
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and active admission to the New York State Bar
- Background in transactional practice, labor law, construction law, employment law, or related fields
- Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent matters with strong organization and attention to detail
- Client-focused mindset and collaborative work ethic
