About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate with Dollar General in Del City, Oklahoma County, you'll take a hands-on leadership position in one of our busy retail stores. This isn't a desk job—you'll be on the floor driving sales, supporting your team, and ensuring our customers find exactly what they need. You'll report directly to the store manager and work closely with other sales associates to meet daily goals and maintain store standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead by example on the sales floor, greeting customers and building relationships that drive repeat business
• Train and mentor sales associates on product knowledge, customer service best practices, and company standards
• Handle cash transactions, process returns, and maintain accurate register operations
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with stocking shelves, and keep the store organized and visually appealing
• Address customer concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
• Support the store manager with opening and closing procedures, loss prevention, and operational responsibilities
• Meet daily and weekly sales targets through effective product recommendations and floor engagement

What We're Looking For

• Proven retail or customer service experience, with at least some supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop team members
• A genuine passion for customer service and building positive relationships
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor in all interactions
• Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic retail technology
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
