Assistant Sales Manager – Full Time

G-Iii Leather Fashions is hiring an Assistant Sales Manager to join our team in Camarillo, Ventura County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive store performance, mentor a sales team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in the fashion retail sector.

About the Role

As Assistant Sales Manager, you'll serve as a key leader on our store team, supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations and business objectives. You'll be instrumental in creating an environment where both customers and team members thrive, balancing hands-on sales leadership with administrative responsibilities that keep the store running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the Store Manager to oversee store operations, inventory management, and scheduling
• Lead by example on the sales floor, demonstrating product knowledge and engaging customers with professionalism and warmth
• Coach and develop associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed store targets
• Ensure compliance with company policies, visual merchandising standards, and brand guidelines
• Handle customer concerns and resolve conflicts with discretion and care
• Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of sales associates
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment where everyone feels valued

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar customer-facing supervisory role
• Strong sales ability and demonstrated track record of exceeding targets
• Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Passion for fashion, customer service, and operational excellence
• High school diploma or equivalent required; retail management experience preferred
