Mental Health Technician IV – Crisis (Temporary Observation)

SpectraCare Health Systems is hiring a Mental Health Technician IV for our Crisis Center in Dothan, Houston County. This full-time position involves providing direct care and crisis observation support to individuals in acute mental health situations, with a base pay of $15.00 per hour.

About the Role

The Mental Health Technician IV works in our Crisis Observation Unit, providing intermediate-level direct care, safety monitoring, and support to patients experiencing mental health crises. Operating on a rotating schedule, you'll work alongside clinical and medical staff to help stabilize individuals in acute distress and support their transition to appropriate ongoing care.

What You'll Do

• Deliver continuous observation and direct support to crisis unit patients
• Monitor patient behavior, mood, and physical health status
• Document observations accurately and communicate findings to clinical staff
• Assist with patient safety protocols and crisis de-escalation techniques
• Support daily living activities and therapeutic interactions
• Maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate care
• Adapt quickly to a dynamic crisis environment
