About the Role

Aloft Austin Round Rock, managed by Moody National Management LP, is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems, facilities, and equipment. You'll be the backbone of our operations, addressing everything from electrical and plumbing work to HVAC systems and cosmetic finishing. Your expertise ensures guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces remain safe, functional, and welcoming.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building infrastructure
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently
• Handle painting, drywall repair, and general facility upkeep to maintain property standards
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and structural systems to identify potential problems
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts inventory
• Collaborate with management and other departments to prioritize work orders and schedules
• Operate and maintain specialized tools, equipment, and safety gear in compliance with industry standards

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance work
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform hands-on labor regularly
• Mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in keeping systems running reliably
• Excellent customer service mindset—you understand that maintaining the property directly impacts guest satisfaction
• Reliability and punctuality; willingness to respond to urgent maintenance needs
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background screening
• Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, electrical) are a plus
