About the Role
The Controller manages all accounting functions, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for our oil and gas operations. You'll combine strategic financial leadership with operational oversight to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and alignment with industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all accounting operations and produce accurate, timely financial statements
- Design, implement, and maintain internal control systems to protect company assets
- Ensure full compliance with SEC regulations, GAAP, and oil and gas industry standards
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Manage and develop the accounting department team
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities
- Work closely with the CFO on financial strategy and long-term planning
What We're Looking For
- CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Extensive experience in accounting leadership and financial management
- Background in the oil and gas industry (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated expertise in internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting teams
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems
- Strong analytical and strategic financial planning capabilities
