About the Role
As a CAD Designer, you'll translate engineering concepts and project requirements into detailed, construction-ready technical drawings and specifications. Working within a collaborative team of civil engineers, transportation specialists, and project managers, you'll support the design and documentation phases of airport, aviation, and transportation infrastructure projects. Your drawings will serve as the blueprint for infrastructure that impacts thousands of people daily.
What You'll Do
- Produce accurate technical drawings, site plans, and construction documents using industry-standard CAD software
- Incorporate engineering direction, code requirements, and client specifications into design deliverables
- Collaborate with engineers and project leads to refine designs, resolve conflicts, and meet project timelines
- Prepare drawing sets for review, permitting, and construction phases
- Make design modifications and implement feedback from internal reviews and client direction
- Support site analysis, feasibility studies, and planning documentation
- Maintain organized project files and drawing standards across all deliverables
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable CAD platforms
- Understanding of civil engineering design principles, standards, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Experience in transportation, infrastructure, or civil engineering environments (preferred)
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting project deadlines
