Sr. Data Scientist – Customer & Op. Analytics

Gatekeeper Systems is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for Customer & Operational Analytics at our headquarters in Foothill Ranch, Orange County. This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Operations & Service, focused on leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions across the organization.

About the Role

As Senior Data Scientist – Customer & Operational Analytics, you'll own the analytics infrastructure and insights that inform how we understand our customers and optimize our operations. You'll partner closely with leadership across the organization to translate business questions into analytical solutions, uncover hidden patterns in data, and recommend actions that drive measurable impact.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain analytical models and dashboards that track customer behavior, business metrics, and operational performance
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
• Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses and inform product and operational decisions
• Develop predictive models to forecast customer churn, lifetime value, and other key business outcomes
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define metrics, ensure data quality, and implement analytics solutions
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
• Optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows to improve efficiency and scalability

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field
• Expertise in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and experimental design
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages for data analysis and modeling
• Strong experience with data visualization tools and building analytical dashboards
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and databases (SQL, NoSQL, or data warehousing platforms)
• Business acumen and ability to translate stakeholder needs into analytical questions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
