What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, vital sign monitoring, and patient education to prepare patients for surgery
- Implement immediate post-operative care including pain management, wound monitoring, and complication assessment
- Maintain clear, accurate medical documentation of patient status and nursing interventions throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to support optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding patient progress and discharge planning
- Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications using sound clinical judgment
- Uphold infection prevention protocols and safety standards in the surgical environment
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience in perioperative or acute care nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities
- Composure and organizational skill in a dynamic surgical setting
- Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills
