In this full-time position, you'll oversee recruitment operations for skilled trades professionals supporting the SR400 Toll Lanes Project, building talent pipelines and managing the entire hiring lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding.

About the Role

The Craft Recruiting Manager is responsible for driving recruitment strategy and execution for trade positions on a major infrastructure initiative. You'll design and implement sourcing plans, evaluate candidate qualifications, manage interview scheduling, and ensure every applicant receives professional, transparent communication throughout the hiring process. This position reports directly to project leadership and serves as the primary point of contact for all craft recruitment activities.

What You'll Do

  • Develop comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified craft professionals in high-demand trades
  • Source and screen candidates using job boards, industry networks, apprenticeship programs, and direct outreach
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate assessment activities with hiring managers
  • Manage candidate pipeline logistics, including scheduling, background checks, and documentation
  • Track recruitment metrics and adjust strategies to meet project staffing timelines and hiring benchmarks
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with hiring and employment regulations
  • Provide candidates with clear information about roles, expectations, compensation, and project timeline

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of recruitment experience in construction, trades, or skilled labor environments
  • Strong knowledge of trade positions, apprenticeship pathways, and union/non-union hiring practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple candidates and timelines simultaneously
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, safety teams, and hiring supervisors
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in HR or recruiting is a plus
