TekPro is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician – 2nd Shift in Saint Charles, Kane County. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a leading food processor seeking skilled maintenance professionals ready to keep operations running smoothly.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the Saint Charles facility on 2nd shift. In this role, you'll be responsible for the daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and production machinery that keep food processing operations moving. You'll work alongside a dedicated maintenance team, respond to equipment issues, and help prevent downtime through proactive care and skilled diagnostics.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in industrial motors, control systems, and automated production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and facility infrastructure
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency equipment failures during 2nd shift operations
- Work collaboratively with mechanics and other technicians to keep production running
- Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience as an Industrial Electrician or in industrial maintenance electrical roles
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
- Knowledge of electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and OSHA requirements
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprint drawings
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery
- Reliable, flexible team player ready to work 2nd shift
- Valid driver's license preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
