About the Role

As a Life Actuary Consulting Senior Manager at Deloitte, you will drive actuarial strategy and design for life insurance, pension, and employee benefit programs. You'll partner with Fortune 500 organizations to navigate regulatory changes, optimize benefit cost structures, and align talent strategies with business objectives. Your expertise will directly impact how organizations approach workforce planning, retirement security, and employee value propositions in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end actuarial consulting projects, from discovery through implementation and ongoing monitoring
• Develop financial modeling, valuations, and risk analyses for complex life and group benefit programs
• Advise senior executives on actuarial implications of compensation, benefits, and workforce strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC rules, and pension/health regulations
• Mentor and develop actuarial consultants and junior staff across your team
• Build and maintain client relationships through clear communication and exceptional delivery
• Contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership through innovative approaches to emerging workforce challenges

What We're Looking For

• ASA, EA, FSA, or equivalent actuarial credential; strong preference for FSA or advanced designation
• 8+ years of consulting or corporate actuarial experience in life insurance, pension, or group benefits
• Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing engagements and manage cross-functional consulting teams
• Expert proficiency in actuarial modeling tools and advanced Excel capabilities
• Deep knowledge of life insurance products, pension regulations, and healthcare/benefits design
• Strong communication skills for both technical and executive-level audiences
• Strategic mindset with ability to connect actuarial insights to business outcomes
