Checkout Team Associate

Walmart is hiring a Checkout Team Associate for our store in Lancaster, Fairfield County. This is a full-time position where you'll be at the center of customer service, ensuring every shopper has a seamless, friendly checkout experience.

About the Role

As a Checkout Team Associate, you'll operate our registers and payment systems while maintaining a welcoming, efficient checkout environment. You'll be the final point of contact for customers, processing transactions with accuracy and care, and leaving them with a positive impression of Walmart.

What You'll Do

• Process customer transactions using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, card, and other payment methods
• Scan items, verify prices, and bag merchandise according to Walmart standards
• Process returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries with professionalism and patience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area throughout your shift
• Provide assistance to customers throughout the store, answering questions and directing them to products
• Follow company policies on cash handling, security, and customer service excellence
• Collaborate with your team and supervisors to support smooth store operations

• Basic math and cash handling capabilities
• Ability to learn point-of-sale systems quickly (we provide training)
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Good communication and the ability to work well on a team

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $15 to $28 per hour, depending on location and qualifications. The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for Lancaster, Fairfield County. You'll also receive annual or quarterly performance incentives and eligible premium pay of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
