About the Role
The Mold Prep B position is fundamental to our casting operation. You'll prepare, inspect, and maintain molds to exacting standards, ensuring each piece meets the specifications our aerospace customers require. This hands-on role combines attention to detail with the physical demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare molds and casting equipment according to production specifications and standard operating procedures
- Inspect molds for defects, wear, and damage before and after use
- Clean and maintain molds and related equipment to prevent contamination and ensure quality
- Assemble and set up mold components with precision and care
- Monitor work processes to verify compliance with safety and quality standards
- Report equipment issues, defects, or concerns to supervisors promptly
- Maintain accurate records of mold preparation and production activities
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliability and willingness to meet production schedules
- Prior manufacturing or mold preparation experience is a plus
