Supervisor, Orthotist Prosthetist

Sanford Health, the nation's largest rural healthcare system, is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Orthotist Prosthetist to lead our prosthetics and orthotics operations at EQUIP Bemidji in Bemidji, Minnesota. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a team dedicated to delivering quality prosthetic and orthotic care to patients across our service region.

About the Role

You'll oversee the clinical operations of our orthotist and prosthetist department, ensuring excellence in every patient interaction and clinical outcome. This supervisory position combines hands-on healthcare expertise with team leadership, requiring you to balance patient care priorities with effective staff management and departmental compliance.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of orthotists and prosthetists, supporting their clinical development and professional growth
• Direct the day-to-day operations of prosthetic and orthotic services, maintaining efficiency and quality standards
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and patient safety protocols specific to orthotic and prosthetic practice
• Oversee patient assessments, treatment plans, fittings, and follow-up care within the O&P department
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to integrate prosthetic and orthotic care into comprehensive patient treatment
• Manage departmental resources, including inventory, equipment, materials, and scheduling
• Contribute to operational planning and budgeting to support departmental goals

What We're Looking For

• Current licensure or certification as an orthotist and/or prosthetist
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical or healthcare environment
• In-depth knowledge of prosthetics, orthotics, and established patient care standards
• Ability to effectively manage and develop a clinical team
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making capabilities
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and fostering a collaborative workplace culture
