Custodial Staff – Swing shift 9 months / 1st shift 3 months

DuPage County ROE is hiring a full-time Custodial Staff member for an elementary school in Naperville. This is a unique opportunity in buildings and grounds maintenance with a split-shift schedule: 9 months on swing shift, followed by 3 months on first shift each year.

About the Role

As a Custodian with DuPage County ROE, you'll maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. This full-time position works 52 weeks per year, 8 hours daily, providing essential support to ensure our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality. The role combines shift flexibility with year-round employment stability.

What You'll Do

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all areas of the school building, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
• Empty trash, manage waste disposal, and maintain organized storage areas
• Report maintenance issues and perform minor repairs as needed
• Follow health and safety protocols and support district cleanliness standards
• Work collaboratively with school staff and other support team members
