DuPage County ROE is hiring a part-time Special Education Teacher (0.2 FTE) to join the team at Glenbard South High School for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site teaching opportunity is ideal for an educator dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed.

About the Role

As a Special Education Teacher with DuPage County ROE, you will deliver specialized high school instruction and work alongside classroom staff, families, and support teams to help every student reach their potential. This South region assignment is a 0.2 part-time position based at Glenbard South.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized special education instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Develop, monitor, and update IEP goals, accommodations, and student progress reports.
• Partner with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to foster inclusive learning.
• Communicate consistently with families about student growth, challenges, and achievements.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with state and federal special education requirements.

Qualifications

• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate special education endorsement.
• Experience teaching special education at the high school level is preferred.
• Solid understanding of IEP development and special education regulations.
• Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
