About the Role
The Program Director position offers an exciting opportunity to champion academic excellence and innovation across multiple engineering disciplines. You'll guide curriculum strategy, ensure programs meet rigorous accreditation standards, and drive initiatives that support student learning and career success within the Douglas D. Schumann School of Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain curriculum that prepares graduates for successful engineering careers
- Oversee program accreditation and ensure compliance with engineering education standards
- Lead program assessment efforts and use data to improve student outcomes
- Support student success through mentoring, advising, and professional development
- Work with faculty to enhance teaching quality and academic rigor
- Build relationships with industry partners, employers, and alumni networks
- Manage program resources and contribute to strategic planning
- Represent programs at professional conferences and institutional events
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in civil engineering, biomedical engineering, biological engineering, or related field
- Professional experience in engineering, research, education, or industry
- Leadership background with demonstrated success managing programs or teams
- Familiarity with engineering accreditation processes and standards
- Strong commitment to student-centered education
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
