Field Services Director – SDA 17

About the Role

In this position, you'll lead the strategic and operational management of field service teams and coordinate essential maintenance, technical support, and facility management services across state properties. Working within DTMB—which provides building management, information technology services, procurement oversight, and fleet operations to state agencies—you'll ensure field teams deliver reliable, compliant services that keep state operations functioning effectively.

What You'll Do

• Oversee field service teams and manage day-to-day operations to achieve service level targets and quality standards
• Coordinate maintenance, support, and facility management activities across assigned state properties and locations
• Create and manage operational schedules, dispatch systems, and service response protocols
• Develop and supervise operational budgets; monitor spending and allocate resources efficiently
• Collaborate across departments—IT, building management, procurement, and fleet operations—to integrate services and address operational needs
• Maintain strict adherence to state policy, safety regulations, and industry compliance requirements
• Assess workflow and service delivery processes; implement improvements to boost efficiency and quality

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated success leading field operations, maintenance teams, or facility service organizations
• Solid understanding of facility systems, maintenance operations, or technical service management
• Competence in budget development, expense tracking, and resource management
• Strong cross-functional communication and project coordination abilities

• Experience in public sector or government service environments is valued
