About the Role
You'll lead engaging, hands-on instruction that equips students with essential knowledge spanning nutrition and food science, consumer economics, family relationships, and daily life management. This full-time position combines classroom teaching with real-world application, helping adolescents build confidence in practical decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons in family and consumer science fundamentals
- Facilitate hands-on learning through food preparation, lab work, and practical projects
- Assess student understanding and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Manage classroom resources, equipment, and learning materials effectively
- Communicate progress and growth with parents and guardians regularly
- Collaborate with colleagues on integrated learning opportunities
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Valid teaching certification in Family and Consumer Science
